Statement and Mission

Statement of Faith

DR. DORTHY PATTERSON, DEAN

The foundation of the Covenant of Faith School of Ministry is built on the character of Jesus Christ.  We are committed to reflect the very image of our Lord and Savior.  We believe that the Bible, both Old and new Testaments, is the inspired, infallible, authoritative Word of God.  The Scriptures in the original languages are without error and are not to be added to, superseded or changed by tradition or supposed revelation.

We believe that there is one God, eternally existent in three persons:  God the Father, God the Son and God the Holy Ghost.

We believe in the deity of our Lord Jesus Christ, His virgin birth, His sinless life, His atoning death, His bodily resurrection, His ascension to the right hand of the Father and His future return to this earth in power and glory to rule over the nations.

We believe the only means of being cleansed from sin is through repentance and faith in the shed blood of Jesus Christ and His atoning work.

We believe in making disciples of Jesus Christ by the instituting of the fundamental truths of the Word of God.

We believe the resurrection of both the saved and the lost.  Those whom are saved are promised everlasting life and those whom are lost are assured eternal damnation.

Our Mission

Training and equipping the saints for the work of the ministry through teaching and practical application of the Truth (The Word of God).

Covenant of Faith School of Ministry is convinced, by reason of the scriptural mandate, that Christian ministry is the shared responsibility of every born again believer.  It is with strong conviction to the gospel purpose that Covenant of Faith School of Ministry has been established.  We believe that every believer, whether clergy or laity, is commonly compelled to share in the gospel goal of “making disciples of all men.”

Covenant of Faith School of Ministry is therefore, dedicated to everyone’s potential life capacity and is committed to providing an atmosphere where the spirit of free inquiry and scholarly excellence can flourish.  It is our desire to “equip the saints for the work of the ministry” through balanced teaching of relevant academics and practical hands-on training.

Covenant of Faith School of Ministry is committed to the ministry preparation of laborers for the harvest fields.  While Covenant of Faith School of Ministry is an equipping and educational outreach ministry of Believers Covenant Church, our goal is to serve all believers, the local churches and its ministries through preparation for greater Kingdom effectiveness.
